Local Food and Entertainment

There are a number of local places to eat and drink around the lake. In the summer there are often musicians and bands playing with activities for kids and families.

The Woodshed Tap and Harbor House are within walking distance.

There are also some great places to dine in the town of Knox from classic American diners to Mexican and Asian eateries, and nearby is 10-56 Brewery which is definitely worth a visit.

Tippecanoe River

Tippecanoe River State Park is just a few miles from Bass Lake and offers canoeing, kayaking and hiking experiences. River tubing is a super fun way to spend a day. There are a number of local businesses that rent kayaks, canoes and river tubes. Some of the tubing hire places will also provide transport to and from the tubing points.

Bass Lake State Beach and boat launch facilities

There is a public beach a short drive from the campground. parking and restrooms are available. The cost is $5 for car with 1 person and $10 per car with 2 or more. Further information at Bass Lake Beach or check out Starke County facilities.

Fair Oaks Farms

An hour drive from Bass Lake is Fair Oak Farm.

Open rain or shine Mon-Sat 9AM-5PM and Sun 10AM-5:00PM. It’s a full day or a full weekend of hands-on education, laugh-out-loud fun, and great food.

On Thursday evenings there is music on the porch.
